Note to web site designers
PLEASE check your site in Firefox before thinking your design is all spiffy and done. Belieeeeve me, many of them are not. I’m not sure what the problem is, as I have a harder time getting layouts to look good in IE, not Firefox, but whatever.
I suppose I’m a tad irritable today.

I hear you. It is so easy to make a site look pretty in one web browser only to discover that it looks like crap in another. Hopefully it will be only a short while until Internet Explorer either works out all its little quirks or goes away.

IE has repeatedly not adopted CSS standards, and goes off and does it’s own thing instead.
It’s probably because they think that it will help them get a corner on the market.
I recently had this problem when I was working with fixed layers, IE for Windows is the only browser that cannot handle them. Designers get wooed by IE because they have a wider arrange of filters, which make design much easier. It also allows sloppier code. I applaud anyone who designs for both.
